People in Partnership (P.I.P.)
Established 1989.
P.I.P. has a well established Family Advocacy Team who support parents with a learning disability during the process of parental assessments. They also support parents when they have either kept their child after assessment or lost a child to fostering or adoption. P.I.P. also supports young people with a learning disability (aged from 14-19) who are at risk of unplanned pregnancy.
P.I.P. provides an independent advocacy service to people with a learning disability who are moving from long-term residential care into community based living.
P.I.P. has a well established Training Team who have developed a full programme of lifestyle, citizenship and employment preparation training for people with a learning disability. They offer training for individuals or small groups and can create bespoke training or tailor existing training packages to suit all needs.
